How it works

Just register a dish in Japanese and your guests can read the menu in their own language. There are only four things for the restaurant to do. You don’t need to think about English or Chinese.

Four steps

  1. 1Register a dish

From “Add a dish” in the restaurant app, enter the dish name and price. You can keep the name exactly as you write it on your usual menu board. Photos can be replaced later.

  2. 2Review the AI draft

AI drafts the description and translations for each language. Read them and fix whatever needs fixing. Dishes you haven’t reviewed are not shown to guests. An AI draft is never published as-is.

Allergen information alone is never guessed by AI. For the 28 listed items (plus gelatin), the restaurant chooses “Contains / Not used / Unknown.” You can publish even while it’s “Unknown” — because being honest with guests is better than hiding what you don’t know.

  3. 3Publish

When you publish a reviewed dish, it appears on guests’ smartphones from that moment. When something sells out, mark it “Sold out today” with one tap. There’s no need to delete the dish.

  4. 4Print the QR code and set it on the table

From “More → QR code” in the app, print an A4 table stand. Fold it in the middle to stand it up, or cut along the lines into four cards, and place it on the table. Even without a printer, save it as a PDF and print it at a convenience-store multi-copier.

Even when you change the menu, there’s no need to reprint the QR code. The QR code holds only the restaurant’s URL, not the dish contents. Only the contents are refreshed.

What guests do

Guests simply scan the QR code on the table with their smartphone camera. No app install and no login are required. The display language is chosen automatically from the browser’s language setting, and can also be switched by hand on screen.

Frequently asked questions

If I change the menu, do I reprint the QR code?

No. The QR code points only to the restaurant’s URL. Even if you add, edit, or publish dishes, the paper on the table keeps working.

A dish I registered doesn’t appear on the guest’s screen.

Only dishes set to “Published” are shown to guests. A dish you haven’t reviewed yet can’t be published until you enter its allergen information and save. From “View the guest screen” in the app, you can check exactly what guests see.

There’s a dish whose allergen information I don’t know.

Choose “Unknown.” It’s shown to guests as “Unknown,” as-is. We also provide a Japanese check card you can show to staff, so it can be used for confirming in person.

What happens to my menu if I replace my smartphone?

Your menu is stored in the cloud, so it won’t be lost. You start using the app by signing in with Apple, so even after changing phones or reinstalling the app, signing in with the same Apple ID brings you back to the same store on the new device. We do not collect your name or email address.

My guest’s language isn’t among the supported languages.

We currently support five languages. Please let us know your request via Contact.
